Planning to study in the UK in 2027?

If you're an Indian student under the age of 36 planning to pursue an undergraduate or master's degree in the UK in either the January 2027 or September 2027 intake, you may be eligible for the India–UK Study Stipend 2027 by Dredu.

Receive up to £780 towards your UK student life.

Eligible students can receive a monthly stipend of £65, for up to 12 months, helping with everyday student expenses such as:

🚌 Local travel
🍔 Eating out
🛍️ Shopping
☕ Coffee & social experiences
🏛️ Exploring London and historic UK destinations
🎓 Other everyday student experiences

This is Dredu's way of providing a little extra financial support while you begin your UK student journey.

Who is eligible?

You can apply if you meet the following criteria:

🇮🇳 Indian citizen
🎂 Under 36 years of age
🎓 Planning to study an undergraduate or master's programme in the UK
📅 Planning to start in January 2027 or September 2027
📚 No minimum academic marks requirement for the stipend

You must also apply to a UK university through Dredu.

How does the stipend work?

It's simple.

1. Apply with Dredu

Apply for your eligible UK university course through Dredu.

There is no charge from Dredu for the standard university application support process.

2. Get your UK admission

Complete your university admission process and obtain the required confirmation to begin your studies.

3. Travel to the UK 🇬🇧

Once you arrive in the UK and meet the programme's eligibility conditions, your stipend payments can begin.

4. Receive £65 every month

Eligible students receive £65 per month, for up to a maximum of 12 months.

The payment is scheduled monthly on the same date as the student's initial eligible payment, subject to the programme's terms and continued eligibility.

Your potential total:

£65 × 12 months = £780

For the September 2026 intake, Dredu introduced student support initiatives with grants and benefits valued at up to £10,000 collectively, including support such as:

£776 IHS Grant

Eligible students could receive support equivalent to the Immigration Health Surcharge paid for their UK student journey.

1 Month Free Accommodation

Selected students could receive support towards one month of accommodation.

Important Terms & Conditions

The India–UK Study Stipend 2027 is a Dredu-funded student support initiative and is not a UK Government, UK university or Home Office-funded stipend.

Eligibility is subject to Dredu's programme terms and verification.

To qualify, students must apply to an eligible UK university through Dredu and continue to meet the programme's eligibility requirements.

The stipend is intended as financial support towards everyday student expenses and is not intended to cover tuition fees or living costs in full.

Payments are limited to a maximum of £65 per month for up to 12 months. The total potential support is therefore up to £780 per eligible student.

Payments will commence after the eligible student has arrived in the UK and completed the required verification. The exact payment schedule is subject to the programme's terms.

Stipend eligibility may be cancelled if the student cancels, withdraws from or otherwise terminates their UK admission or studies. Eligibility may also cease if the student no longer meets the programme requirements.

Dredu reserves the right to verify eligibility and amend, suspend or withdraw the programme where necessary, subject to applicable terms.
